Kevin Durant Supports Colin Kaepernick's Decision To Protest.
Many athletes from multiple sports have let their opinions be known on whether or not they support San Francisco 49er's Quarterback Colin Kaepernick's decision to protest the national anthem. Athletes like Shaquille O'Neal, and Victor Cruz have spoken out against it. While others like Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Stephen Curry have supported Collin's decision. Add new Golden State Warriors Small Forward Kevin Durant to that list of supporters.

Kevin Durant voiced his support in favor of Kaepernick's decision to protest the anthem when he spoke with Sports Illustrated.
"I'm behind anyone who stands up for what they believe in. Colin Kaepernick is standing up for what he believes in. That's what makes our country so great, right? You have the luxury to do so. He was unapologetic about it and , in his defense, I don't think he was trying to disrespect anyone. I think he was trying to get his point across. I'm all for anyone who wants to do that. As athletes, we have this huge platform. A lot of people are watching at all times. Sometimes it may not be what you do, they like. But if you feel like it's gonna be impactful, that's on you. I feel like everyone should stand up for what they believe."
Kaepernick has recently announced that he plans on donation $ 1 million to different charities around the country as well as his jersey proceeds from this season.
