Adrien Broner Sentenced To 30 Days In Jail For Showing Up Late To Court.

Adrien "the Problem" Broner was ordered to spend 30 days in jail earlier today by Judge Robert Ruehlman for being in contempt of court. The former 4-division titlist arrived more than three hours late to his scheduled court appearance to deal with an arrest from earlier in the year where he was indicted on assault and robbery charges for allegedly beating a man over a gambling dispute at a bowling alley.
According to news outlet TMZ who broke the story earlier, " The case was expected to be dismissed today ... had Broner arrived to court on time".
Instead of the charges being dismissed, Broner now finds himself in a situation where he has to appear in court again upon his release in August. This is the latest negative episode for the boxer who definitely lives up to his moniker of "the Problem". He left the court on a sour note with Judge Ruehlman who mentioned, "He looks like he’s drunk or hungover". There is no telling whether this incident will factor into his August 17th court date, but this is a time where Broner really needs to evaluate his future.

Boxing aficionado has never questioned Broner’s talent but his lack of focus and commitment are issues that seem to linger in the back of the minds of his critics. Broner last fought in April against Ashley Theophane. He scored a TKO victory, however he was stripped of his WBA super lightweight title for failing to make weight for the bout. He was most recently in talks to fight against Manny Pacquiao but that fight is no longer on the table due to money demands from Broner.
