Larry Bird Couldn't Imagine Teaming Up With Magic Johnson.

Former league MVP Kevin Durant has been receiving some harsh criticism as of late after he announced that he would be joining the Golden State Warriors, a team that had recently beaten Durant in the Western Conference Finals, and home of the reigning two time MVP Stephen Curry who he would be teaming up with. Many current & former players in the league have voiced displeasure in Durant's decision due to the Warriors winning the title in 2015, and breaking the all time regular season wins record in 2016 by winning 73 games. Essentially they did not need Kevin Durant, & one would think that Kevin Durant did not need them.

Indiana Pacers President, 3 time NBA Champion (Boston Celtics), & NBA Hall Of Fame member Larry Bird said that he could not imagine teaming up with Magic Johnson during their legendary rivalry during the 1980's.

Bird said on Sirius XM Radio "I know back in the day, I couldn't imagine going to the Lakers and playing with Magic Johnson. I'd rather try to beat him, "I could never imagine myself going and joining another team with great players, because I had great players and I was in a great situation."

During Birds career he played with a number of NBA legends including Kevin McHale, Robert Parish, and Bill Walton.
