Fighthype.com has reported that the rumored Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner fight is becoming more and more realistic, as Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has recently reserved the Mandalay Bay Events Center for October 15th in hopes that the newly elected Senator will return to the ring. Nothing has been set in stone yet, Pacquiao must first feel out his new duties as a senator in the Philippines and then see if he can squeeze in an 8 week training camp, along with his new even more hectic schedule.
The other two fighters in the running to face Manny Pacquiao in his comeback fight are WBO Junior Welterweight champion Terence Crawford, and WBC Welterweight Champion Danny Garcia according to Bob Arum. However, Manny Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz has said that Terence Crawford was never in the running for the fight.
Sources close to FightHype are also reporting that the last sticking point for the fight to be finalized is that Adrien Broner is asking for 10 million dollars, this however is not seen as a major sticking point due to the fact that whatever amount Broner ends up getting for this fight it will be by far his biggest payday.
