Steve Kerr to be named NBA Coach of the Year for 2015-16 season

According to ESPN's Marc Stein Steve Kerr is set to win the 2015-16 NBA Coach of the Year award.

Steve Kerr missed the first 43 games of the season due to complications from back surgery, which saw Luke Walton take the helm. Walton lead the Warriors to a record setting 24-0 start, going 39-4 overall.

However none of it went towards Luke, all of the wins counted for Steve Kerr due to him still be the head coach while Luke was just an interim.

For generations to come when people look back most won't recall Steve Kerr missing half the season, they will only point to the Warriors dethroning the Chicago Bulls long standing NBA most regular season wins record by going an astonishing 73-9.

Let us know what you think, did Steve Kerr deserve to be this years coach of the year after missing half of the season?
