Carmelo Anthony passes Larry Bird on All time scoring list.

New York Knicks all star forward Carmelo Anthony surpassed Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird on the all time NBA scoring list in a victory over the Utah Jazz this past Wednesday. Anthony is now 31st on the list at 21,793. He sits right behind Gary Payton at 30 (21,813) and Clyde Drexler at 29 (22,195). Carmelo is expected to pass up both before seasons end.
"Well first of all it's an honor to be on that list, to know all the great work that Larry Bird put in throughout his career, I am still going, I am having fun & have a long way to go. I feel the team is helping me & I am helping them & I feel that we have something good going for us." said Carmelo Anthony to the MSG network.
The New York Knicks are currently in 9th place in the Eastern Conference with a .500 record of 22-22, which is already better then the record they had last season of 17-65.
